between you & me

can a bird fly with only one wing?

Does the wind keep a solitary course?

Water flows where it will —

for this, should there be any remorse?

Is this not true?

Does having left and right hands, eyes, ears, legs, and feet enhance our quality of life?

does not our left and right get along after all, working in unison for our mortal coil?

Two hemispheres make the whole?

Is this not so?

Well, dear thinker, same as me;

On these things it should be easy to agree. …

Here's to life's harmonies; we have the power to decree, set forth, make free.

with this humble homily —

between you & me …

(and the trees.)
