Tesseract Tea

Dear Child,
everything hums!
All in life has tonal resonance—
For example,
deep octaves like the depths of the ocean
Or high octaves as the trill of a hummingbird's wings.
Like two ends of a spectrum,
each strumming our senses.
There's more,
sweet child of mine!
So much more!
(Pours two cups of tea)
Let's have a cup,
I'll teach you further.

One lump or two, Dear?

(Words mine. Image created with starryai a collaborative process called synthography. Thanks for reading, this is one of my favorites. Fun write!)

This poem, though tagged with vss365 is actually part of a short story I'm writing.

I had been working on it at the time of the prompt (resonance) and decided to set it free in our vss365 community.

I find myself scrolling through my inventory of verse a lot to see if I have written anything appropriate for the days prompt, when I find I have, I share it for the prompt.

In the instance I haven't already written something that includes the day's prompt, I write something new.

So, my vss365 offerings are a mix of poetry I've already written and written specifically for the prompt word.

If you also write poetry and would like to engage with a supportive group of troubadours that will celebrate the love of poetry with you, dive into vss365 or any of the other prompt communities on X and join in!

No invite needed, just come on and bring your verse!
