Majestic Mansion

Oh!
sweet splendid lush needles,
conifers galore!
No wonder little birds &
squirrels call you home!
There's plenty of room
after all,
with those lovely
elongated limbs...
Shelter from winter's chill
or summer's swelter!
Ah, my dear Norway Spruce,
such a majestic mansion
you are for fauna
with babies in tow.

I've been called a tree hugger on more than one occasion and I don't take it as an insult- even though many times that was the intention.

Trees host diverse ecosystems and communities in our natural world.
They are a source of life not only for nature, but us as well!
Everyone enjoys breathing.
I, myself, am especially grateful for each breath I draw.

Trees purify air, water, and even help stabilize soil.
Their roots for giving and sustaining life run deep.

When I'm out enjoying the birds, I'm also appreciating the trees.
Often it's meditative for me.

We humans take so much and give little back.
